Castlerea is a mature parkland course founded in 1905, measuring 6090 yards. The  course is par 70 for men and a par 71 for ladies . The River Suck comes into play on the 2nd, 3rd and 7th holes. There are plenty of mature trees strategically placed, fairway bunkers, and well-protected greens. The feature hole is the short 3rd for ladies /12th for men, of fewer than 110 yards with the tee shot over the river. The course offers the golfer a challenging and enjoyable golfing experience.
